You're thinking, "Beltrami County, what is it doing here in Clearwater County?" Actually, it was in Clearwater County the whole time. Clearwater County was a part of Beltrami County until 1902. 

This building is over one hundred and thirty years old! The school was built in Popple Township during the winter of 1889-1890. Some of the first teachers here included Ernie Reff and George Sundal. Students included Ollie Midbo and Mrs. Asle Halvorson.
