The museum is located in the former Shevlin School, a two-story brick structure built in 1911. The school closed in 1991 and the Historical Society "History Center" opened in 1996. The center also has a small historic "village" including a log cabin, a depot, a log school, a gas station and serveral other buildings.
CCHS Lending Library: The museum has a brand new lending library! The library is set up by our back gate with a variety of books available.
Market Day Vendors: The Historical Society is looking for local artists and craft vendors to come set up at our first Market Day. If you are interested in more information about vending here give us a call at 218-785-2000 or email us at clearwaterhistory@icloud.com.
The museum has a big collection of photographs, newspapers, and obituaries. No matter the research, we might be able to help. If not then we can guide you in the right direction.
Becoming a member gives you the opportunity to share your ideas and suggestions for the direction of the Historical Society. You will also receive our newsletter Clearwater Co.
